Thanks to our intensive courses, you will learn Dutch in a short time. We organise the first six  modules of the NT2 programme: Grade level 1 (1.1 and 1.2.) and Grade level 2 (2.1.,2.2., 2.3., and 2.4.) .
Grade level 3 (3.1 and 3.2) and 4 (4.1 and 4.2) can be organised on request by the participants when/if possible.
Additional options are: conversation classes, pronunciation practice, a comprehensive session on applying for a job or grammar etc.


To start in grade level 1.1, foreknowledge is not required.

After each module you will receive partial certification. At the end of the Grade level you will be issued with a certificate These documents are officially accepted by the government. They conform to the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This system allows the language skills to be described and compared across borders.


Your chances of employment in Flanders are increased if you speak Dutch.


Dutch opens the way to  vocational training as well as further studies at college or university. Our student advisor can help you look at what possibilities there are for you, within CVO TSM or other education institutions.




All new candidates must first go to Huis van het Nederlands, Brusselpoortstraat  8, 2800 Mechelen.
The ‘referral document’ that you are issued there is necessary to register.
To register please bring the following with you:

  •  the referral document from ‘Huis van het Nederlands’
  • your passport
  • any attestation issued by other ‘CVOs’





Day classes: 5 to 10 weeks
Evening classes: 11 weeks
In the course of a school year can you complete 3 to 7 modules.


The lessons take place at campus Merode. We offer day courses as well as evening classes.

Online registration for this course is not possible. Please register at one of our offices


Registration fees are € 0,60 per hour. For those taking the integration course, registration is free. Under specific conditions you can be partially exempt from paying the registration fee. (See in the section “Questions” : exemption from registration fees).  At the start of each new module you need to pay a contribution for material and the use of the electronic learning platform.
